Finding Dupes with Midnight Commander

I have been trying to figure out how to do this. These are some instructions I received from a friend but that person isn't around to tell me how to get there. These are the instructions below but I just can't figure on where I get to this. I know about the left and right columns, I understand that part but I can't find what I want.

"This where mc is indispensible.
Open /usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins on the left column.
Open /home/molly/,gimp-2.8/plug-ins on the right column.
Same with scripts.
The default scripts are located in /usr/share/gimp/2.0/scripts.
If you find dupes remove them from the right column by placing the cursor over them and hitting F8"

Can someone please direct me as to how I get to /usr/lib/.gimp-2.8/plugin-ins?

It's /usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins and /home/molly/.gimp-2.8/plug-ins
It's the latter you can't open?
Look on the help (there's a key for that) how to show hidden folders.
