After kernel update, boot up hangs
hello all. So here's a screencap of what happens when I boot up using the latest kernel:
I can boot up normally in the installation kernel but not in the two latest kernel updates.
Some system specs:
x86 64-bit
evga GTX 550 Ti
Is it something about the display manager? Or is it LSB?

Re: After kernel update, boot up hangs
Neither..
There was an update not too long ago that installed a packaged called trousers as a dependency. Trousers starts TCSD by default, but if your machine doesn't have a TPM chip, then it can't run.
To fix it...
Code:
su -
(root password)
systemctl disable tcsd.service

Re: After kernel update, boot up hangs
I have the same error message, But I am able to boot .
you can check for errors in /var/log/messages
To track why the kernel is not booting.

Re: After kernel update, boot up hangs
What sort of graphics card are you using? I tend to get this when the kernel is upgraded but the nvidia kernel module is the previous one, so X cannot start.

Re: After kernel update, boot up hangs
Are you using the nvidia binary driver? If so, how did you install it?

Re: After kernel update, boot up hangs
it looks like its hanging after starting the display manager. Why not reinstall the nvidia drivers?
