easytether problem

I downloaded and installed easytether-0.7.3-1.i686.rpm.
I start it by running this alias
Code:
alias etether='easytether connect `easytether enumerate`'
then after a minute or two, I get a notification that the connection failed.

Has anybody been able to use easytether on Fedora 17?

WTF???

From what I can tell, easytether is some kind of proprietary crap that some complete animal retard wrote for Android.

Delete it.
IMMEDIATELY.

Now...

Settings --> Wireless & networks --> Tethering & portable hotspot
Take your pick, your choice of USB, WIFI, or BLUETOOTH tethering (some may or may not be present depending on your phone).

NO WACKO SOFTWARE REQUIRED.

USB tethering uses standard USBNET drivers (built into kernel).
Wifi tethering uses your wifi card.
Bluetooth tethering does it in the usual way (probably LAP?)
