should I defrag ntfs?

Hi everyone!
I had used Windows before, and my computer had 3 ntfs partitions. After that, I installed fedora on drive C . Now, I'm using fedora with 2 ntfs partitions remain, drive D and drive E. Should I defrag them after a long time using? How can I do that? ...Or should I change their type partition to Linux type because I think I will not install Windows again ?
Thanks in avance!

You should definitely replace them with Linux file systems like ext4 better sooner than later ;-)

On this topic, actually, that's something I've sometimes wondered about - I know that with ntfs/Windows, you need to occasionally defragment your filesystem because you can get fragmented files (amazing leap of logic there, eh? ). I've never heard of such a need while using Fedora though; does ext*/lvm/Fedora/Linux work in a way that prevents files becoming fragmented, or is it just considered unnecessary despite fragmentation occurring? Or is there something else to it?

Usually you don't have to worry about this. The Linux file systems are smart enough to store large file in as few fragments as possible. This is the reason why you shouldn't try to fill a linux file system to 100% of its capacity. There are however programs to check the fragmentation of your files.

Code:
man filefrag

man e4defrag
