Install Fedora 17 on Ubuntu PC

Hi all,

i have a standard PC with two 250GB hard drives of which the one is empty (/deb/sdb)
and the other one (/dev/sda) has two partitions with Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 installed on them.
I want to install Fedora 17 on the other harddrive but i have already tried it and on the boot menu there is no Ubuntu to choose.
Is there any way to make an installation without problems, and with the bootloader working correctly?
Please help
Any help appreciated

If I follow correctly, you have Ubuntu and Windows on one hard drive (sda) and Fedora on another hard drive (sdb).

It should be as straight forward as selecting which drive to boot from at start up. If you want Fedora, select sdb. If you want Ubuntu or Windows, select sda.

Re: Install Fedora 17 on Ubuntu PC

Well, since you have a working Fedora install and ubuntu/windows does not show up anyway, why don't you try

Code:
grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg
See if this detects the other two operating systems in your system ... If it does, you can then install grub2 again ... may be?

Re: Install Fedora 17 on Ubuntu PC

Thanks for the reply.
Fedora is installed on /dev/sdb but the MBR is located on /dev/sda.
During the Fedora installation i chose to install GRUB2 on the MBR but on boot all i get
is Fedora and Windows.
I can use SuperGrubDisk2 to boot into Ubuntu but i want to have all three entries on startup
on the bootloader.
Is this possible?
