Asus Laptop internal mic not working

Hirro!!
I have an Asus Laptop model#: U52F.
I am using Teamspeak but i cannot get it to detect my microphone. Of course I checked to see if my settings had the input muted, but there's the catch.

Under my System Settings / Sound / Input, my internal mic is not even listed. I have alsa correctly configured on my computer to fix some Skype problems. Skype works perfectly for video/audio, both input and output, as well as Cheese and various other video/audio programs. But for the life of me, I can not get Teamspeak to detect my mic.

Any ideas on how to get my mic to show up under my sound settings as well as work with Teamspeak!?

Thanks for your time!!
