F17 fresh install yum update problem

Hi all,

I've just moved my server to F17 from F15 by doing a fresh install (not upgrading).

After the install, I did a yum update to download any patches/fixes. This is what I'm getting:

Code:
yum update
Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit
No Packages marked for Update
Obviously, there's a problem here (unless the guys at Fedora have created the perfect release!)

I've checked networking by ssh'ing onto an external machine, so it's got network connectivity.

Here's my repolist, pretty vanilla:

Code:
yum repolist
Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit
repo id repo name status

Anybody got any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Re: F17 fresh install yum update problem

How exactly did you install?

If you used a network install or enabled the internet during installation then maybe you already have the latest updates?

Which kernel do you have? Try
Code:
uname -a

Re: F17 fresh install yum update problem

Looks like an updated kernel to me, at least newer than the DVD ;-)
