Installing Java on Fedora 15

Hello

I tried installing java but it ended with "no more mirrors to try"
How can I help that ? Can I add to the list of mirrors? If so then what am I missing, that it needs ?

Thank you !

Re: Installing Java on Fedora 15

Well, the package is what is missing! What is available in that mirror is java-1.6.0-openjdk-1.6.0.0-65.1.10.8.fc15.x86_64.rpm.

This is what I get

Code:
yum list *openjdk --releasever=15
Loaded plugins: langpacks, presto, refresh-packagekit
Installed Packages
java-1.7.0-openjdk.x86_64 1:1.7.0.3-2.2.1.fc17.8 @updates/17
Available Packages
java-1.6.0-openjdk.i686 1:1.6.0.0-65.1.10.8.fc15 updates
java-1.6.0-openjdk.x86_64 1:1.6.0.0-65.1.10.8.fc15 updates
Try yum clean all and yum update.

Re: Installing Java on Fedora 15

Thank you !
I think I still have to get used to this.

Here is what worked for me now :

yum install java-1.6.0-openjdk.x86_64C

What is confusing is that if I omit the "-openjdk.x86_64C" part, it says it found it but it finds the wrong version 1.6.0.0-63.1.10.6.fc15 when in fact what exists is 1.6.0.0-65.1.10.8.fc15

There's something I still have to understand here.

Thanks
