For some time now I have been having to reset my cursor theme periodically as I cannot stand Adwaita. I run KDE and have absolutely no use for this theme to my mind it looks awful. However parts of it seem to be embedded in the system and occasionally it will still come back in Firefox and Thunderbird.
It is impossible to remove without removing some 200+ packages. I can understand why you have to have a default cursor theme but why on earth it has a mind of its own I just cannot fathom. I have not had this issue with my previous distros only with Fedora, on others a change of theme sticks permanently.
Can someone please explain to me how I can go about getting my system to use exclusively the cursor theme of my choosing across the entire desktop and stop it reverting to Adwaita when it feels like it. This intensely annoying.
