Having an issue with installing - 64 bit

I am new to fedora, I have tried to install it twice.. whenever I do, it boots into a practically broken OS - and if I try to login it says an error occurred with no error code and ask me to relogin, and repeats this..
I have re-installed it twice. What could be wrong?

Hi Apple,

Immediately it sounds like you might not have the same password as entered at install for your user account Although if you are seeing other errors at boot it may not be that simple.

What version are you installing? The latest F17 or older version?

Did you install on a clean harddrive or are you dual booting.

Is this a fresh install or upgrade from previous version?

A little information about your particular hardware would be good too - as there are a few "quirks" when it comes to some graphics hardware.

It is frustrating when an installation does not work out the box - but you kinda need to help yourself a little more by providing a little more detail about your setup before more sane answers come your way

Is it installed from a live media or via dvd installer.
If its with the DvD Image, did you select to customize packages or just clicked next?

I know I am, I use a very simple password for my OS logins..
It is F17 and dual booting, fresh install. I heard from someone it may be an error when burning the disc, as I didn't burn it on the slowest speed.

I don't remember, but I'm pretty sure I didn't choose custom packages.

What is the exact wording of the error message?

If you press Ctrl+Alt+F3 and try to log in to a virtual terminal, does that fail?
