How to install peazip 4.5

Hello,

When I try to install peazip 4.5 on fedora 17, I have an error:
Quote:
peazip-4.5.1.LINUX.GTK2-1.i386 requires libgmp.so.3
I have already installed gmp package, dut it doesn't help.

Please, help me to figure it out. Thank you.

Re: How to install peazip 4.5

You can use the portable version.
Extract it to a folder, then link the executable to $PATH so you can use it from the terminal and create a desktop file for it.
The only trick for the desktop file is that (for whatever reason I don't know) you may need to put the whole path for the executable in the Exec key (instead of just Exec=peazip).

But do you need it for something that file-roller can't do?

Portable version works good. Thank you.

I have noticed that file roller can't split .zip files on parts more than 1 Gb. To be more detail, I have a Linux home pc and windows work pc. I want to transfer a folder from my home pc to my work pc. Unfortunately, I have a pen drive with smaller capacity than I need. I tried to do it with tar-split-cat commands, but it isn't comfortable because of Windows..
