Login problem

Hi, I am really new to Fedora.

I just installed Fedora a few days ago. This morning, I installed a Wine and Gimp and a driver for my wireless adapter (RTL8192CU).

When I restarted, the login screen looked normal. However, when I logged in my account, the only account in the computer, the screen looked really weird and it spun really fast. When I moved the mouse, the screen started moving up and down and weird pixels showed up. Please help, I don't know what to do with my operating system.

Re: Login problem

Those packages can't/won't create your situation, so I suspect that you've played around a bit more with some other things that have messed up your settings. If you can use your account at all, you can try to create a new user and see if the problems persist. If not, simply transfer your data.

Of course, since you only have a few days involved, the simplest solution might be to reinstall.

Re: Login problem

Reinstall is the ultimate solution. I did reinstall. Everything worked out fine except there was a "cannot open font file true" message. I think I know where the problem came from. When I changed my system's display to the second option, it went crazy. I changed back to the original resolution, but it was still spinning.

Re: Login problem

I was able to fix the problem by changing the resolution back to default. Everything was normal after I restarted the computer.
