F17 No "Next" in install
Greetings,
I can't get past the Timezone screen. There is no "Next" button. I have just entered <enter> but nothing happens. How do you install Fedora 17?
P.S. I thought I may have just created a bad DVD, so I burned another one. Same result.

Is the checksum of the media right?

Re: F17 No "Next" in install
The button is there my guess is that it's off the screen. I would try hitting alt+n (as that's probably the hot key for the next button,) and hitting enter.
I would assume that the live CD desktop (or live DVD?) has some keys to move windows--the old Gnome 2 did, it was alt+F7, if I remember. If the new Gnome has that too, I would think that you could try installing from the live CD and using the hot key to move the window up, which will hopefully put the Next button in sight.
However, all of this is based upon some experience with installs from Ubuntu CDs, where I ran into similar issues, that of buttons being off screen, I haven't tried it with Anaconda, which may not give you that opportunity.

Re: F17 No "Next" in install
If you install in basic graphics mode, the screen resolution is slightly too small for the installer window, but the screen when you push the mouse pointer to the edges of the visible screen. Maybe the same thing will work for you?

Re: F17 No "Next" in install
I'm using vmplayer to install Fedora 17. Although I can make the VM screen larger there doesn't seem to be a way to make the installer screen larger. I have tried to resize the installer screen, but couldn't.

Re: F17 No "Next" in install
You can usually toggle the buttons with the <tab> key. So try something like
<tab><enter>
<tab><tab><enter>
<tab><tab><tab><enter>
until you hit the right one ;-)

Re: F17 No "Next" in install
try holding the Alt key and left click, dragging the window up so the boxes are visible. If you use the Alt key, then it will let you move the window border beyond the screen edge.

Re: F17 No "Next" in install
The <tab> does work. However I'm not crazy about this solution.
Is there any hope they might fix this in the future? I have never seen them make another DVD image after release.

Anacone is too small in a VM-window?
How about "$function_key+c" if its vbox?
Dont recall if funcion-key was r shift or r ctrl.

ddan: have you tried the Left-click & drag method? It's always worked for me.

Re: F17 No "Next" in install
I have tried the left click and drag. Nothing happens, I can't move the window.
There is no "Next" button even if I boot DVD on the Desktop directly without vmplayer.

Re: F17 No "Next" in install
Are you installing in graphic mode or in text mode?
Did you try to install with the LiveCD?

I'm installing in graphic mode. No, I haven't tried the LiveCD, but I'll burn one and give it try.

Re: F17 No "Next" in install
Hi,
I also faced the same problem. i was installing Fedora 17 under VMPlayer in windows 8 consumer preview. The "Next" button of the install screen was not visible at all. My host screen was 1920 x 1080 resolution. In the virtual machine setting i changed Display->Monitors setting from "Use host setting for monitors" to "Specify monitor settings" and specified "1024x768" (i.e. resolution lesser than your host display resolution). Now i am able to see the "Next" button.
Hope this helps.
Regards
