display manager and overhead projector

One more problem: using Fed 16, I simply plugged in the classroom overhead projector, and went to System settings>Displays, checked mirror displays, and I had it working.

In Fed 17, I can boot with the overhead plugged in, and I only have the overhead, the laptop screen is dead, or boot without it plugged in, and use the laptop normally. But I can't mirror screens. If I boot, then plug in the overhead, the laptop does not see it, I cannot check, mirror screens.

This is a Toshiba Satellite C600D with an ATI Radeon 6310 GPU.

Any tips out there?

Re: display manager and overhead projector

Did you install the ATI proprietary drivers for Fedora 16?

They're not available yet for Fedora 17, because they're not compatible with the new X-Server.

You mean catalyst?? No I didn't use that, because it just caused problems.

Any further tips?
