VB forums and font selection

On FF, I notice that if I allow the website to choose it's own fonts; vbulletin forums don't have unread threads in bold (see attachment). In the attachment, all those threads I have not read. If I tell for FF to use the fonts I have chosen then forums behave as expected.

I also using chromium (from the fedora-chromium repo). I am faced with the same problem. However I cannot find a way to change the behaviour. Anyone with any ideas?

Re: VB forums and font selection

Hmmm.

Looks like it's specific to the site you were on, or a local setting. This is a VBulletin forum, and I've allowed it to choose it's own fonts, and all seems quite as it should be.

EDIT: I wonder if you just don't have the default font.

Re: VB forums and font selection

oh assumed this wasn't a vb forum. then the problem seems to lie elsewhere as this forum behaves.

maybe it is the font issue you mention. if you go the forum (http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/forumdisplay.php/167-Linux), does it show the threads in bold?

Nope. Although the headers do.
