Trying to find the best USB 3.0 external drive to use with FC16. I purchased a Seagate Expansion HDD and while it is recognised it is only recognised as a usb 2.0 device. Read some reviews that the drive is a bit dodgy and that it is not compatible with Mac so I thought maybe that is why it is only being seen as a USB 2.0.
However I am running out of disk space and want to add storage and was thinking about 2 x 3TB USB 3.0 drives running RAID but before I shell out for another Drive I wanted to make sure it was compatible.
The most important thing is compatibility as I will be running RAID 1 if a drive fails I can deal with that inconsistent detection or only as USB 2.0 is not something i can deal with.
I have a single HDD dock that is recognised as usb 3.0 in it so I know USB 3.0 is working. I guess the next thing would be trying to get the best HDD and USB 3.0 hub combination as I would like to have 3 x devices if not I can deal with just two but they have to be the 2 x 3 TB
