Hello everybody,
I have been trying hard to make my Hanvon/Hanwang graphics tablet (Art Master) work on Fedora 16 64-bit with kernel 3.3.7-1.
If any Italian user reads this post, the tablet brand and model in Italy is Nilox Art Painter Pro (from Hanwang anyway).
This is the output I get from lsusb in terminal:
Bus 003 Device 003: ID 0b57:8503 Beijing HanwangTechnology Co., Ltd
and this is what I get from dmesg ini terminal:
[ 1679.964163] usb 3-4: new full-speed USB device number 3 using ohci_hcd
[ 1680.112780] usb 3-4: New USB device found, idVendor=0b57, idProduct=8503
[ 1680.112790] usb 3-4: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[ 1680.112797] usb 3-4: Product: Tablet
[ 1680.112802] usb 3-4: Manufacturer: Hanvon
[ 1680.112806] usb 3-4: SerialNumber: V3.2
[ 1680.229110] usbcore: registered new interface driver hanwang
also, the hanwang module is loaded correctly as listed by lsmod in terminal:
Module Size Used by
hanwang 13021 0
However, when I launch events tester (xev) from terminal, when I use the tablet, no output is registered by events tester (but I do get output registered from the keyboard or mouse though...)
Also, when I try to use the tablet in GIMP or Inkscape, it does not work. I am not even able to configure it in GIMP or Inkscape's preferences.
I suppose I am missing something, but do not know what to do...
Any clues on how to solve this problem?
Help would be very much appreciated.
Have a nice day everybody
