yum No Packages marked for Update "NO WAY"

HI guys, I'm having problems with my system, haven't look at it for a long time. Now Im trying to update and ist telling me

Loaded plugins: presto, refresh-packagekit
Setting up Update Process
No Packages marked for Update
my log says:
# ls /var/log/yum*
/var/log/yum.log /var/log/yum.log-20110101 /var/log/yum.log-20120101

vi /var/log/yum.log
Feb 25 14:07:07 Installed: 2:nmap-5.21-4.fc12.i686

apparently my last update was on 01/24/2012

I tried
yum clean expire-cache
yum clean metadata
yum clean all
yum update
But still get the same answer. What do you guys think?

thanks ....

Re: yum No Packages marked for Update "NO WAY"

So, you're still running F12? Guess what? F12 went "End Of Life" months and months and months ago. Meaning, all updates for F12 ceased. Fedora has the policy of only actively supporting the most two current releases, which at this moment in time is F15 and F16. With F17 on the cusp of official release, F15 will fall into EOL status in about a months time after F17 is released.

Thank you Pablo, that's what I thought. So basically the only updates that I will ever get would most likely be security updates. hmmm very well, thanks

No. There will be no more updates for F12 ever again. Not even security updates. My recommendation is to back up anything you need to keep, nuke your system and install F16 because there have been enough changes that you probably wouldn't be able to upgrade to a current release. Good luck.
