eggcups and gnome volume manager cancelled at starting gnome in fc3
Hi : after loggin into gnome ...I keepon geeting this two messages :
eggcups cancelled..inform the developers
gnome volume manager cancelled..inform the developers
I'm running kernel 2.6.9-1.681_FC3 i686 and this started after a clean install of the njvidia driver
What can I do with all this..I dont even know what eggcup is

Open terminal and type this: su -c /etc/cron.daily/prelink than reboot pc and login again.

I saw this just recently. It's a problem with UDEV apparently. Check the link to udev.
My problem was with a removable drive i think.
I tried install the source to run mkinitrd an accidently recompiled the kernel which fixed the problem anyway. There's a recent post on the source code in FC3

That's interesting. Maybe I didn't have to do so much? or got lucky.
What does that do if I might ask?

Interesting.
I had run the updates but that's the first I have heard of prelinking.
Think I'd want to find out what it does before posting to the bug.
I guess the kernel compilation does it as part of its process.

BTW the if you do a fresh installation and run you updates the bug has been fixed it no longer happens. I did an installation today and did all updates i was expecting to get same error and when i applied the fix it told it was done thru my latest updates.
