Gnome Fallback Menus

Any idea how to make System menu and other menus in gnome fallback look like the ones in gnome shell?

If you do not have the graphics muscle for Gnome 3, I would happily suggest Fedora 16 Xfce

I'm not quite sure what you mean. The only way to fundamentally change the layout of the menu applet would be to rewrite it (or find an alternative applet to use instead). The Compiz window manager has features similar to the window list in the GNOME Shell overview, and there are various dock applets which are somewhat similar to the GNOME Shell dash (e.g. docky, awn, cairo-dock etc.), but I don't know of anything like the GNOME Shell application list. If you're using fall-back mode by choice rather than through lack of capable graphics drivers, you could try GNOME Shell with https://extensions.gnome.org/ or perhaps Cinnamon instead to get an in-between GNOME 2 and 3 interface. Otherwise, wait until Fedora 17 onwards, coming in the next few weeks hopefully, which will be able to run GNOME Shell with software rendering when the graphics drivers aren't up to the job.
