Wired Connection

OK I have a wired network that can see modem obtain local ip addres and not go online. However wireless can see my neighbors router and works just find. On window same machine "dual boot" modem works fine. Everything worked on FC 15 upgraded and now lost.
I can use google chrome browser on wired network but can not use firefox or sea monkey. I can not use evolution on wired side or ftp either but everything works wireless.
So is this a networking issue or a Firewall issue?

any ideas or suggestions will really help. Oh yea 64 bit system all so
