I often read: this year is the year of linux, year 2006 the year of linux, year 2007 the year of linux, 2008 is the year and so on, now
2012 is the year of linux domination. Just like all other years, this year its happening, old story same message.
Do people see that progress isn't happening and since its "free", what is holding it back? Why do the public don't use Linux? I checked
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usage_s...rating_systems and Linux is used by less than 2%. Its been around forever but stays a stagnant OS without any noticable growth.
Why is it that apple and google can get their OS out there so much faster and to that many more people than Linux who been around like forever and is FREE (and the best?)?
Is the free thing making the marketing budget "low"? Or is the fact that Linux is free a reason why it isn't marketed harder, I mean paying to get something out for free = a loss? Just what is the theory of why Linux is staying stagnant? What do Linux users think is the reason for Linux having almost no growth?
