Re: Broadcom Corporation BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless on FC14
You may be long gone from here, but I would try different firmware. You didn't mention your firmware, but the messages sort of suggest that you are using the firmware provided by b43-openfwwf (which is supposed to work with BCM4318 chipsets). Nevertheless, a harmless and reversible thing to try is to install proprietary Broadcom firmware. If you can connect to the Internet via a wired NIC to do the download, this might help...
Code:
wget http://downloads.openwrt.org/sources/broadcom-wl-4.150.10.5.tar.bz2
tar xjf broadcom-wl-4.150.10.5.tar.bz2
cd broadcom-wl-4.150.10.5/driver
su
b43-fwcutter -w /lib/firmware wl_apsta_mimo.o
If you can't connect by wire, then download the tarball using another computer, somehow transfer it to the wireless computer, and continue on with the second step. Once those commands complete successfully, reboot or restart NetworkManager and check for available networks.
Other sort of standard things to try or consider when nothing else seems to work, are a physical wireless on-off switch (it happens all the time), a software switch or hot-key, a BIOS setting, and rfkill.
P.S.: Thread moved to EOL (End Of Life) Versions.
