[SOLVED] Fedora icons problem

Hello,
My problem (I assume it's software related problem) is not properly appearing icons in Fedora 16.
In the beginning everything was ok, than suddenly icons for some applications started to disappear, instead of them appear some black/white ugly icons. Moreover, firefox themes have gone too, replaced with white and black colors.

I am a novice in Linux environment. I presumed the problem being related to Gnome, so I reinstalled it, but no changes. How to fix this problem ?

couple of questions have you changed the gnome theme lately?

since your new to gnome i would advise you to install gnome-tweak-tool it will allow you to change themes with a GUI tool called advanced settings. you can install it by typing the following in a terminal:

su -c yum install gnome-tweak-tool

Thank you very much, kc1di. Your advice really did help, everything back to normal. In the advanced settings the icon theme was set on Highcontrast for some reason, I changed it to Gnome (default) option, did the same with couple of other options too (to default).
