16 XFCE much longer time to boot with no network cable

I accidentally unplugged the network cable after finishing installation and it took 30 seconds to 1 minute more time to boot then if the network cable is plugged and into the modem. Same with the connecting automated option checked in the connection and the cable plugged in.

It took me more than half day to figure this out.

Put the modem back in and it works fine.

Solved. #service iscsi stop. Don't know what iscsi does and why was delaying my boot.

Stopping a service is not the same as disabling a service. If you have not already done so, then do:

# chkconfig iscsi off
# chkconfig iscsid off

The iscsi service attempts to discover and mount iscsi devices, which very few users would have.
