Picasa for linux

Hi
I have tried to download Picasa through the terminal using a guide but it won't install. Have (supposedly) installed ie6 in the process, but can't find it! Any ideas for a fix?? Thanks..John Happy Easter!

Re: Picasa for linux

I tried picasa a couple years ago and as I recall Google had a repo so you could install using yum. I haven't used Picasa recently though.

I always suggest digiKam over Picassa. Picassa for Linux is based on the Windows version and uses Wine libraries and some functions don't work.

Thanks for the suggestions--perhaps I ought to try digikam as Picasa is obviously a pain for Linus users judging by the number of posts I read before I posted...
