Once i bought my new dell inspiron duo, i haven't working touchscreen. One day I fixed it by adding : GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="usbhid.quirks=0x0eef:0 x725e:0x40" to /etc/default/grub and updating grub this way : sudo grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg.
After some updates my touchscreen is again death. I suspect there are any changes in fedora policy or directories or smth like that.
I have found some drivers that I compiled to module. So, after :
insmod /lib/modules/3.3.0-4.fc16.i686/kernel/drivers/hid/hid-multitouch.ko
I make :
echo 3 0eef 725e 259 > /sys/module/hid_multitouch/drivers/hid\:hid-multitouch/new_id
And something appears in xinput_calibrator --list :
Device "eGalaxTouch Controller" id=18
Device "eGalaxTouch Controller" id=19
Device "eGalaxTouch Controller" id=20
Device "eGalaxTouch Controller" id=21
Device "eGalaxTouch Controller" id=22
I have tried calibrate it, but I can't.
I think, if it worked earlier, it should be easy to fix now.
