Does anyone know off hand whether vino-server (VNC) can be configured to work under the cinnamon desktop. Anecdotal evidence suggests it may only be supported under GNOME.
My experience has been it does not start automatically when running cinnamon, and when you manually start it and click the system tray icon, it core dumps. Really (IMHO) this application should be configured to run as a systemd service (like TigerVNC) instead of being called by the gnome desktop itself.
(vino-server:2113): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: g_app_info_launch: assertion `G_IS_APP_INFO (appinfo)' failed
Segmentation fault (core dumped)
Update: Same problem exists under Gnome Shell.
