nautilus coming up maximized?

Anyone else having nautilus to start maximized every time they restart their system?

Here, the first time I run nautilus, it starts maximized, and after I restore it back to the smaller window, then it starts fine.. Until I reboot or restart Gnome. Then it's maximized again.

Anyone know how to prevent nautilus from starting maximized. It's being a real PITA.

Re: nautilus coming up maximized?

In my F17 system, nautilus seems to remember my "last" active setting. First instance of starting nautilus is a small window, if I maximize it and close it and open it again - it is maximized.

So, I would say, as of now, it is acting normal. My system is fully updated (as of today).

Mine is fully updated as well, but the first time after each boot, it starts maximized. After that it remembers the last setting, and will start however it was when I closed it.

Don't know it it's related, but I had a similar issue but with Firefox. Even though I closed Firefox window maximixed, it always started in the middle size. Lately (since yesterday), said behavior stopped with no apparent reason. Everyother program, Nautilus included, behaved as expected.

I have been using Xfce and LXDE more and more lately, but after using Gnome since 1998, I keep trying to give it a chance to improve. But, *sigh*, It just keeps getting worse instead

My issue with nautilus just started happening after the last big update to the Gnome stuff. Maybe a week ago?? It wasn't like that before the update, so they changed something.
