Hello, i recently bought a new acer laptopt with an a8 apu processor, it arrived yesterday and today i tried to install fedora 16 64-bit from the live cd, all good so far but... in the middle of the partitioning process a problem ocurred!!!! and now i cant boot into windows (blue screen while loading windows) or even mount the device using the live cd!!!
if it help ill describe the partition options selected, the device is a 500gb drive, with an aproximated 470GB partition in NTFS with windows, i selected the shrink partition option without lvm to 350GB so the rest could be used by fedora using the recomended partitioning scheme.
Disk utility in the live cd detects the partition as a 350Gb partition and the rest of it (intended for fedora, swap, boot, etc) as free but cant mount it, returning an error:
Error mounting: mount exited with exit code 12: Failed to read last sector (943796223): Invalid argument
Thanks in advance!!
Resolved, had to use the recovery provided by the pc manufacturer included in a separated hdd partition and reintall windows all over again
