So I upgrade to Fedora 17?
Is there any reason to upgrade to Fedora 17? I look at the feature list and most of seems to be for enterprises users. I'm just a normal desktop user and I don't want to go through the process of upgrading if there is really no reason to do so. I would rather wait for the next one.
So are there any big changes that would justify a normal user upgrading?

It hasn't even been released yet and at this point is bound to be plagued with bugs. That said, you should at least wait until the official release.

I know it has not been release, I should have asked, is it going to have any change when it gets released, that will justify an upgrade?

I don't use Gnome, XFCE is my choice of DM. Anyways I agree with you. I'll just wait for the next one.

I should be able to install 4.10 on my current Fedora installation with out upgrading to F17. I just have to wait and find out. Also I have not check what new in 4.10, it may not even be worth the trouble. Will have to look into that one.
Anyone know what the major changes are in XFCE 4.10?

Re: So I upgrade to Fedora 17?
There are a couple of packages that are going to a new release, like Gimp, and VLC.
Gimp is going to 2.8 (it's at 2.7.4 now, but should be at 2.8 by the release date.) and VLC got the 2.0 version boost.
I am sure there are other packages that got an update as well, like the 4.7 update to gcc.
So, it would depend upon what you use your system for, and your preferences. You may or may not want the updated versions of the packages in F17, or the minor updates might not be worth the time it takes to upgrade. But for others, it might be a necessary update.

I'm sure for most people the upgrade is completely worth it. I don't use Gimp and rarely using VLC. For me It does not seem worth it. It kind of goes back to why I don't like Ubuntu anymore, but I fully support the developers and what they are doing. Just because I have a very strong dislike for Unity doe not mean that it's bad or needs to be trashed. There are many people who love it. It's just not for me, so I switch
