Hi. I'm using fedora 16 (gnome shell) 64 bit. I was wondering how to change the GTK3 theme. I saw other forum posts on this topic but no working answers. I tried creating the .themes folder and putting the themes in there and unpacking theme (I downloaded them form deviantart). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
note: you can switch between themes in gnome-tweak-tool

Yes, gnome-tweak-tool is probably the easiest way of changing between pre-made themes. It gathers GTK+, Shell and other GNOME theme aspects into one place. If you want to modify a theme though, you'll have to get your hands dirty with XML/CSS/JavaScript.
Download your theme, place it in your home directory in a folder called ".themes", and then install Gnome-tweak-tool (see illustration) then run the tweak tool "Advanced Settings" and select your theme elements there.
