Cannot Stop Package Kit

Hello ,
i have a problem with packagekit , it always runs at startup .

i could disable it by changing update setting , i changed 'Check For Updates' to Never and 'Automatically Install' to Nothing . but after an update , it started to work again , and i don't know what to do ?

I noticed something similar yesterday which makes me think there is a bug in PackageKit that has appeared recently. I saw large network activity. PackageKit was downloading something using yumBackend.py and it had gotten something like 200 megabytes of data before I disconnected the network using NetworkManager to stop it. I had it auto update to never and check for updates to daily. I was not able to figure out what it was downloading though as there does not seem to be a log of what it downloads.

I don't think it is the bug I was seeing because I don't remember it using up all of the CPU (I used the "top" command in a terminal to see the cpu usage). My bug was just automatic unwanted downloading of large amounts of data.

Yup. Packagekit taking up 100% CPU is a bug.
