Fedora 16 and NVIDIA driver, the system becomes slower

Hi,
I'm using Fedora 16 64 bit.
I installed the NVIDIA driver (NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-285.05.33.run) in order to use CUDA (I have a GeForce 9500 GT).
The installation finished without problems but now my system is slower than before (when I used the nuoveau driver).
It seems me like if it has little freeze.
Does anyone has some idea about it?

The recommended method for enabling Nvidia graphics is to use Leigh's Guide: http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=204752 You might try removing the Nvidia site installation and see if that improves your response.
