F16: Volume slider issue

A few weeks back I did an update on my Fedora 16 x64 machine and afterwards my master volume slider is not operating properly. For some reason 0 volume (mute) is now in the middle of the slider so it only starts affecting the volume from about 3/4 way up.

If I open my my volume settings, it has two little tags "Unamplified" and "100%" and the slider can go way beyond those points for some reason (here is a screenshot: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/14569277/Scr...%3A45%3A32.png).

Does anybody have some info on how I might go about fixing it (so that 0 is at the far left)? I have been waiting for an update that may correct it, but there have been two updates since it broke and it's still broke

i noticed that as well. the percentage in volume increase is pretty off.

Did a fresh install of F16 on another machine today, it has the same issue.
