[SOLVED] Fedora Linux VM guest: How to change screen resolution

I'm running Fedora Linux 16 as guest system, inside a Windows/VirtualBox host. After install the provided add-ons, only 1024x768 screen resolution displays properly; when I try to increase it, I cannot see my Gnome bottom bar... how can I fix this? Thanks in advance.

Not sure if they key combo is the same...

HOSTKEY (left ctrl) + C

This will maximize the shown VM to the outter borders, and will resize dynamicly.
Hope this helps.

Re: Fedora Linux VM guest: How to change screen resolution

I have experience with windows as guest in VirtualBox on a Linux Fedora 15 system. this works for me:
  1. start guest OS in VM
  2. choose monitor/screen resolution in the guest OS
  3. adapt VM window on the host to fit the guest display

however it took a while until I found out it worked that way

Re: Fedora Linux VM guest: How to change screen resolution

I am able to set the monitor resolution for the virtualbox install inside the guest. Are you not getting the option to do that?
