Hi All,
First poster here. Non IT specialist. Computer hobbyist.
I have a 250 Gb laptop with Xubuntu 11.10 And Linux Mint (200 and 50 Gb partitions respectively) installed.
I like to mess around and try out new operating systems and I would like to install Fedora on a minimal partition. My intention is to take 10 Gb off the Mint partition and put Fedora there. (Xubuntu is my primary OS on that machine and the 200 Gb is where I store all my stuff - such as it is).
I have already burned the Fedora live CD.
So, my question is: How do I go about installing Fedora as described above so that when I start the computer I have a grub list with all three OSs to choose from, (X)ubuntu being the default boot?
I am familiar with installing ubuntu-based systems alongside others and using startup manager to choose the default. But as Fedora is not ubuntu based, I thought I'd better check out the procedure with some knowledgeable folks first before my laptop sails down the swanee...
With thanks in advance
Tim
