Hi All,
I have a brand new ASRo Pro3 Gen3 with a 3.3GHz i5 2500 and 8GB RAM
I'm running Fedora 16 x86-64 with all latest patches (kernel version is 3.1.9-1.fc16.x86_64)
Im experiencing random (anywhere from <1 hour to >12 hours) lockups with a very distinct sympton - a psychedelic flashing sreen (solid colout over entire screen which cycles through various shades of 'bright' colours). When it happens, the machine is totally locked (cannot ping).
I've checked /var/log/messages (attached as messages.log) and Xorg.0.log (attached) but there are not kernel panics or anything suspicious apart from a 'Failed to enable MSI-X' message
Any idea how I can track this down?
I'm not afraid to hack and re-compile the kernel...
Edit: Freezes were happening before updates and also using LXDE spin
