Question Fedora Core 16 hangs on boot trying to start DBUS.

I am running Fedora Core 16 that has been upgraded from Fedora 15 with preupgrade and it was working fine until I shut down, now I boot up the machine and it hangs when it is trying to start DBUS. I have selinux set to permissive and I am using /sbin/upstart but this problem is still recurring. Here is the output of /var/log/messages. I am running a Knoppix live DVD ATM, so I can use a chroot if I need to execute any commands to fix this. Any help you can offer would be awesome.

#EDIT I just tried this again and it hangs on this part of the boot up sequence.

Starting LSB: Mount and unmount network filesystems.

This is as far as it will get.

Code:
root@Microknoppix:/media/sda1/var/log# tail -n 40 messages
