Heroes of Newerth bug?

Well this is a bit strange and I am not sure Fedora is to blame but I would like to share this in case any Fedora 16 64-bit users have the same problem - found a solution maybe?
The problem goes like that:
When I try to enter matchmaking cpu goes 100% on both cores for some reason and I am out with a "no response from server" message without having the option to reconnect. This also made me a big leaver and I now have to play 70 games without disconnecting to play on official again. Of course there is no reason to pay and reset my stats as long as this problem is still unsolved. I use Fedora 16 64-bit with the latest nvidia drivers (290.10) and the latest available kernel 3.1.6 . I don't know what the problem is and I can't imagine something. Anyone?
Anyone that has the slightest idea please post a reply
Thanks!
