lirc not working on F16

I have been trying to get my PCTV remote working using lirc on F16. The actual TV card works OK and I can watch TV using kaffeine. On boot lirc starts up but when I run irw to see what my remote is doing I see an error saying readlink failed for /dev/lirc0, so for some reason /dev/lirc0 is not being created. The daemon is started with the default device and so should create /dev/lirc0 but it's not happening.

Has anyone got lirc working on F16 (preferably with a PCTV card remote)?

Stuart

Re: lirc not working on F16

I have working lirc on F16. Just add following 2 lines in lirc init script:

setserial /dev/ttyS0 uart none
modprobe lirc_serial irq=4 io=0x3f8

Same lines like in Centos 6.

All working fine.

Re: lirc not working on F16

Thanks for the suggestion, when I get my PC back from the repair shop I'll give it a go.
