Backend Programme blocking Fidora

Hi I'm new to Fidora and Linux. I asked a computer professional to download Linux Fidora having got a trojan in UBuntu2.
So..
I downloaded a programme that allowed me to access skype and Adobe Flash player so I could watch youtube vids. To my chagrin I think one of these have allowed a plugin to block me being able to debug. The debug programme does not download whatsoever. It says this

Failed to initialize packaging backend. This may happen when other packaging tools are running simulataneously.

I have tried to wipe off skype and lo the programme has been overwritten so that I can't delete it.

The only solution I can see to my problem is to wipe Fidora and go to the library and burn my own disk. Any recommendations as to which Fidora version I can download would be much appreciated. I blocked all plugins on Adobe. I'm using Scroogle browser through Firefox but I gather Firefox has loads of plugins.

I have Fidora 14 as it is alleged to be the most problem free for backend hacking.

Would someone mind taking me through an idiot guide how to get this programme off my computer and assist me when I upload a newer version.

Any other suggestions would be most appreciated.

Cheers

Re: Backend Programme blocking Fidora

I don't think you have to remove anything.

Try rebooting and then installing.
