How do I view hidden files in LO on F16?

Prior to Fedora 16 you were able to select in Tools->Options->Load/Save->General whether you wanted system dialogues or LO dialogues and to show hidden files. On Fedora 16 this ability seems to have disappeared. I found this when I wanted to save a spreadsheet as a template within the path of .libreoffice/3/user/template I was unable to view the path since it is hidden although manually entering the full path with file name did allow me to save it. I posed this on the LO Users Forum and was informed that in the upstream version it is still there, but the Fedora 16 version(s) does not.

I am currently using LXDE for my Desktop Environment on Fedora 16 and Version 3.4.4 of LO. Anyone else confirm this before I file a bug report?

I think this depends on the configuration of you DE, so I would look in de LXDE documentation. On KDE, you have to modify the settings in the "open file"-dialog.

Re: How do I view hidden files in LO on F16?

The default FM for LXDE is PCManFM which is set to view Hidden Files, I even have it set in Dolphin and Konqueror-File Browser to do likewise. But the problem is strictly with the File Save/Open Dialogue within LibreOffice, does not have anyway to enable this feature. Prior to Fedora 16 there used to be an option to use sytem dialogues instead of the LibreOffice Dialogues, which I think would resolve my problem as all other apps use the system's file dialogues and I can view Hidden Files in those. I had raised this issue on the LO Users Forum and the general response is that the option is still there in the Generic Version that you download from LO, but apparently for whatever reason is not in the Fedora version.

The option should be under Tools->Options->Load/Save->General, but is not there. There are no other ways that I have been able to find to accomplish this. That is why I made this post before I go ahead and open a bug report.

I thought pressing ctrl+h helped me.
Or is that not what you want?

If you mean on the File Save/Open Dialogue, no that just changes the file type to HTML, and I'm not sure what it'll do any other time.

That system dialog option is gone from LibreOffice 3.4.4 from the Arch repo also.

If you use the File/Templates/Save dialog it does put the template in ~/.libreoffice/3/user/template, as per the Tools/Options/Paths - Templates config.

I'm told that it is still there on the upstream version

Thanks for the tip, didn't even know that was there. Shift F11 is the Hot Key shortcut, now if I can just burn that into this ole brain of mine without the Oletimerz interfering.
