F16 - Unknown Monitor

Good Afternoon guys, i have a Asus N55SF-S1084V and I'm running Fedora 16. I'm having a problem because my monitor supports resolutions up to 1920x1080. But since Fedora shows my monitor as "Unknown", it only shows three "crappy" resolutions. I've heard about using xrandr but i'm not too familiar with it. Can anyone help me?

If additional information is required, i'll be glad to provide it.

Thanks in advance
