Gourmet Recipes will not start

I installed Gourmet Recipe manager and then ask it to install the nutrition plug-in. The install loaded about 10,000 items and then tried to load the measurements? And locked up. Closed and restarted when it failed. Removed package and reinstalled. Now when called it shows :
_collections.py:38:_immutable:type Error: immutable object is immutable.
Any suggestion as to how I can fix this?
