NIS problems

Hi,

i am trying to configure NIS on fedora8
but i have a problem

Code:

"can't yp-bind: Reason: le domaine n'est pas délimité."

i couldn't resolve this problem
shall i configure DNS service before configuring NIS or it is not necessary
