Hi all!
I am using Fedora12 with 2.6.31-6-162.fc12.i686 kernel
Some days ago I noticed that the file xsession.error and xsession.error.old were unmotivately HUGE (around 600 MB each). This was a mistake.
Now, i cannot access to the system at all. It starts and it is stuck at the user selection, without any possibility of moving the mouse or choosing the user, or switching to other session clicking CTRL+ALT+number... nada!
I tried to enter using a Fedora live 16 or a knoppix and the result was that harddisk was not accessible.
In the loading I can see some strange messages related to the Logical volume management and the nvidia but they are too fast to unsterstand what's about. Is there a way to access the data in the logical volume for copying them (e.g. from a live), and then re-install everything.
Please help me I seriously need to recover that data.
Cheers
