Wireless will not reconnect if stopped

I've had the same problem with F15 and F16 using the b43 wireless driver.
All is well with the wireless connection until it drops or I turn it off for some reason.

When it has stopped for whaterver reason, network manager cannot reconnect and it indicates that the device (wlan0) is no longer available in the network manager drop down.

In order to use the wireless connection again, I have to reboot.

Any ideas?

I had been having the same issue, even in windows on my built in broadcom wireless adaptor on my dell laptop. I just bought a new wireless card and no problems since.

I don't have the problem with XP or Fedora 14 so I am thinking it is not a hardware problem other than the fact that it is broadcom.

I started a thread for a similar problem with dodgy connection. I've not got an answer yet.
