f15 snappier !??! problems!

Howdy, i run several Fedora machines.. Last one was (this) an X86_64 F15 upgraded to F16 today
I ran the distro-sync and upgraded also grub.. everything went smooth.
The main problem is that it's really slugghish, also writing right now sometimes lag, changing tabs and selecting words on libreoffice = 2 seconds lag! that's weird because i also have another F16 on the laptop which is way snappier than this one (and way lower hardware!)
Additional stuff i run is cairo-dock and the AKMOD instead of the nouveau thing, may this be the problem? It used to run fine on F15 before i upgraded!

oh just a tought, should i go with the whole rawhide branch or shall i leave only for nvidia stuff?
