Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone else is experianceing the same problem that I am where after upgrading to Fedora 16 the new Firefox (7.0.1) causes Gnome 3.2 to become largely unresponsive, even with only one tab open?
I use Firefox 7.x with Gnome 3.2, but everything is fine here.
Desktop: i3 540, GT430, Fedora 17 x86_64 KDE
Netbook: E-450, HD 6230, Fedora 17 x86_64 KDE
Nope, only LVM.
Actually epiphany was miss-behaving a bit as well. No where as much as Firefox, but epiphany itself would be fairly unresponsive on some pages.
As I told in
http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showpo...4&postcount=40
System goes very slow for minutes (only mouse pointer works) after f16 upgrade. I am using XFCE and it affects both firefox and midori. It happens on certain webs, for instance the search result of this forum.

leigh123linux, the problem with that is I have absolutely no idea which component of Fedora (being new to it) that is not working.
I've tried my normal techniques to diagnose the problem such as googling for problems with Firefox, running Firefox in a terminal to look for errors, watching top to see if there's something obvious eating up CPU, checking selinux troubleshooter.
None of these have provided me with much more information than I've given. There are no errors reported by Firefox, no obvious bugs listed in google, top shows that Xorg occasionally seems to be eating up too much CPU (occasional bursts of 25% on my quad core seems high), selinux lists 2 entries:
But I don't know if those are recent the dates given are Thurs 20th Oct for abrt-dump-oops and Wed 9th Oct for gnome-session-check-accelerated-helper. Assuming dates listed by selinux are the most recent occurrence then I guess they're not the cause of my current problem.Code:abrt-dump-oops with 21 occurrences gnome-session-check-accelerated-helper with 84 occurrences
The one major problem I could identify from my upgrade was the "Oh no! Something has gone wrong" error which I followed your NVidia post upgrade guide to make Selinux work which seemed to resolve it.
I can't describe the problem better than that, except perhaps by making a video of the unresponsive behavior.
